Remembrance Day Service 2011

‎80 members of Scouts Western Isles attended the Service of Remembrance at Martins Memorial Church. Beavers Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Leaders from Stornoway, Laxdale and Ness represented Scouting on this important day.

Ruairidh Mackay had the honour of laying the wreath on behalf of Scouts Western Isles.

District calendar updated

The district calendar has been updated with more information regarding adult training modules from now until the end of the year and revised dates/times for district and group meetings in December.

Explorers Tabletop Sale

Stornoway Explorers are hosting a tabletop sale in the Scout Hall, Keith Street, Stornoway on Saturday 15th October from 11am to 4pm. This is in aid of funds for Blair Atholl International Jamboree in July 2012.

If you wish to book a table or donate any items to the Explorers please contact 07795 354 736 or come along on the day, have a cup of tea and support us.

Email Issues

CUB SPORTS CANCELLED!

Normally weather isn’t a barrier to Scouting. However the rain we have been experiencing this week has made the ground a little too wet for racing around on (it’s a sports day not a swimming gala!), therefore the District Team have taken the decision to cancel the Cub Sports Day and reschedule for a later date.
An email has been sent out to all Cub Leaders to notify them of the decision.
