About

Scouts Western Isles

Welcome to the most Westerly Scouting District in Scotland. If you are into real outdoors Scouting, the Western Isles have been custom built. Apart from being the most picturesque area of Scotland, the terrain is ideal for hiking, hill walking, mountain biking, and abseiling, canoeing or sailing.

Although the District is geographically large it is sparsely populated. That said, Scouting continues to actively flourish in the Outer Hebrides with one Explorer Unit, one Scout Troop (with a new one in the pipeline), three Cub Packs (new one to open in Autumn 2009) and two Beaver Scout Colonies.
